Partner Spotlight: Lindsey Frank
President of Educating Mindfully & Featured Guest for “From Presence to Prototype: A Design Lab for Intentional Educators” – free virtual workshop on February 24
I want to share the story of an educator whose journey from the classroom to transformational leadership is a masterclass in turning personal growth and heart-centered curiosity into a systemic solution for educator well-being.
Before leading Educating Mindfully, Lindsey Frank spent over 13 years as a classroom teacher and districtwide coach. She served as a K-5 Special Educator, K-8 Interventionist, 7th Grade Pre-Algebra Teacher, and Districtwide Climate and Social Emotional Learning Coach. Through these roles, she witnessed firsthand the emotional demands placed on educators and leaders, and recognized the need for tools that nurture their mental health, resilience, and sense of purpose.
The seed for her current work was planted through multiple pivotal moments. Her personal growth journey began in 2016 when burnout, anxiety, and physical symptoms signaled it was time for change. Later, a phone call inviting her to serve as a districtwide SEL coach allowed her to blend well-being with systemic impact, which eventually led her to Educating Mindfully. Writing her first children’s book in 2020 further inspired her to launch The Butterfly Within®, a coaching practice supporting changemakers in taking aligned action toward their becoming.
The number one lesson Lindsey emphasizes is courageous trust. “The heart always knows,” she says. “Stay curious, trust, and jump…that’s when our wings unfold, and we see what’s possible.” This philosophy guides her both personally and professionally, helping her navigate the unknown and transform challenges into opportunities for growth.
Right now, Lindsey is focused on embodying her becoming through daily, aligned action by “tuning into the loving redirections that move her closer to her highest purpose.” She is helping educators and leaders integrate mindfulness, SEL, and well-being into their work while modeling what it looks like to follow your inner wisdom, even when it means leaving behind the familiar to become the butterfly within.
I am thrilled to have Lindsey join me as a guest for our February 24 virtual workshop: From Presence to Prototype: A Design Lab for Intentional Educators. Together, we’ll guide participants through hands-on strategies to explore solutions and opportunities through mindfulness, resilience, and courageous trust, so they can take inspired action in both their personal and professional lives.
Growth isn’t just about doing more. It’s about becoming more.
